There are two full-fledged Computer Labs.We have 100 Pentiums (all are branded Computers like DELL, IBM, HCL) with networking, to cater to the requirements of Commerce and B.Sc Students.

It is undoubtedly first of its kind and for that matter a pioneering venture on the part of the college. It has won the hearts of commerce students and encomiums of O.U. Commerce Department and other concerned with Commerce Education. The Lab was inauguarated by O.U. Vice-Chancellor, Dr.Tirupati Rao and attended by Departmental Professors. The Vice-Chancellor was greatly impressed with the Lab facilities and hence complimented the Management by stating that this particular lab can be rightly act as a 'MODEL' to all colleges imparting Commerce Education under O.U. jurisdiction. If Science courses have Labs, Commerce Courses can also boast of Commerce Labs. This might encourage students to opt for commerce courses.

Let it be declared: Our Commerce Lab is a "Model" to all colleges. Utmost importance is accorded to the Library in order to facilitate academic-oriented staff and students to update their knowledge in their chosen field. Academic ambience is paramount for the development of intellectual aspiration, next only to class-room activity.

The college has a rich collection of books and Journals,which includes reference books in all the subjects, business oriented literature like Economic Surveys, Plan Documents and Special Committee Reports. Incidentally the Library provides reading facility for both the staff and students.

As the adage goes: Books are gates to lands of pleasure; and books are keys to wisdom's treasure.

The growing student strength of the college, year after year, brought out the inadequancy of space and furniture. It therefore became imperative to establish a separate Reading Room with sufficient space and good ventilation. This has provided additional facility to Library Staff, Teaching Staff and Students. The reading room is well-furnished with large shelves for Periodicals, News Papers-National and International, both in Telugu and English languages.

One more feather in the cap is the installation of 50 KV Generator to overcome the short and infrequent supply of electricity by providing 100% back-up to the institution.

The College is admitted under section 2F and 12B of UGC Act and has been receiving developmental grants since eigth plan for the library, audio visual equipment and building.

Globalization of education and economy had led the University Grants Commission(UGC) to re-orient and reshape its policies and programmes to make the current Indian Higher Education system more relevant and career-oriented with focus on quality and excellence.

The main objective seems to be to introduce career and market-oriented skill-enhancing add-on courses that have utility for job, self-employment and empowerment of the students. At the successful completion, the students will be equipped with a Certificate in an add-on orientation course along with a conventional degree in Science/Commerce.

The college stated the following courses from the academic year, 2010-11 with an intake of 40 students in each course from the degree first year students:

1.Certificate Course in Event Management and
2.Certificate Course in Investment Management & Stock Market Operation

This is a golden opportunity for students who cannot afford to lose and hence they should join the UGC sponsored career-oriented course, which is basically an add-on course while pursuing simultaneously their respective Degree level education.

Government of Andhra Pradesh has established Institute of Electronic Governance(IEG) to promote JKCs in the colleges. IIMC has registered for JKC in January 2008. Jawahar Knowledge Centre is an initiative from the Government of Andhra Pradesh to train the degree students in the areas of English Communication, Reasoning & Aptitude, Computer Skills and Interview preparation skills. The objective of this programme is to increase the employability of the students by the time they complete the Degree.

The institute arranges and provides for all indoor/outdoor games, to the extent possible. The candidates admitted under sports quota as per the rules must execute a bond to the effect that they will participate in the games in which they have the proficiency.

To encourage the candidates of B.Com.(Hons) Degree and to create a healthy and competitive academic climate and also to develop the spirit of excellence, the management has instituted a Gold Medal to be awarded to the Candidate who secures highest aggregate marks in one attempt and stands first in the Annual Exams conducted by the Osmania university. Gold Medal contains the inscription Vasavi Seva Kendram Gold Medal with a logo of Osmania university.

Vasavi Seva Kendram, the parent body has resolved to award scholarships to the toppers in each course in the previous University Examinationa. They have resolved to give Gold Medals and Rs.1,116 cash award to the toppers of all colleges offered by the college. This kind and generous gesture has increased the responsibilities of our college staff in maintaining excellent standards of teaching and dissemination of knowledge sa as to encourage the student community and enthuse them in quality education.

This auditorium, named after our College Secretary and Correspondent Sri.Challa Somraj Ram garu, the munificent donor, takes a place of pride for all activities in the college. Architecturally well-designed, well-decorated, it can accommodate 200 students. Its ambience is at once charming and attractive and hence it becomes a hub of academic, cultural and social activities.

As a measure of students' welfare activity a Water-Cooling Machine with aqua guard has been installed by Vasavi Club, Hyderabad, in the college campus.

E-Library is a new curricular concept in the educational campuses throughout the world. It is a global phonomena, started by American Educational Campus, which has caught the imagination of Academic circles all over the world.

Our Institution, probably the first in the entire State, welcomes this novel concpet so that our students march with this times. We are indeed very happy to open E-Libarary in our campus with the active assistance of TPED(Newyork Foundation and also with the co-operation and co-sponsorship of Vasavi Club, Hyderabad which is rightly named Vasavi Club - Hyderabad, E-Library.

E-Library is undoubtedly revolutionary in academic pursuit as the dependence of students on formal methods of education becomes less and less and allows them to acquire wider knowledge so that all other methods become superflous and unnecessary.

It is sincerly hoped that our students and staff will greatly benefit by the establishment of this Library based on Electronic Key-board system and learn the Fundamental Truth:

Hostel accomodation will be provided to all the outstation students, in Vysya Hostel on first- come first- serve basis.

The IIMC Alumni evince keen interest in the merit scholarships by their active participation. The Alumni association of IIMC has instituted several scholarships to the students of B.Com.(Hons), B.Com.(Computers) and M.Com. Students. The Association has been arranging guest lectures by eminent persons for the benefit of the College Students from time to time.

Yet another feather in the cap of IIMC is establishment of A/C Seminar Hall which is solenly financed by Sri.Reddysety Chandra Shekar. It is a 50 seater mini A/C Hall, which can provide facilities to conduct workshops, meetings and seminars. It is a well-furnished, carpeted floor and with attractive ceiling designs. The Hall is audience-oriented with fine ventilation.

1. A student (past or present) desiring to obtain a certificate (transfer, conduct, bonafide, games etc.,) shall apply for it in the college office.
2. All applications for certificates should be addressed to the Principal.

At least one day time should be given to the office for the issue of Certificates.
